The race starts at Taxal Church car park, with runners setting off at two-minute intervals from 9:30am to 10:15am. The 6½-mile course is unmarked, but we provide a route map. The route alternates between clockwise ↻ and anticlockwise ↺ directions; in 2024 we run anticlockwise.
The winner will be presented with the Terry Lardner memorial trophy. Terry was a much-liked club member, and the race passes Terry’s Tree, a mountain ash planted in his honour in the Goyt Valley, just below Taxal Edge.
