Tuesday Social 7pm
Our main club run. Prospective new members are welcome, come and say hello, or reach out via the socials below. We cater for all abilities Groups 1-5 (see below). Mainly off-road during the Summer, a mix during the Winter, trail shoes recommended. Expect to be out for 60-90 minutes. Afterwards we’ll head for a drink at the Goyt or Nook.
Thursday Training 7pm
Hill and Speed training, led by Gavin Peach. Often, but not always from Canal Wharf Car Park, check out the schedule. Suitable for all abilities.
Thursday Away Runs
Held the second Thursday of the month during the Summer. Always somewhere fairly local and easy to get to, check out the schedule. Expect to be out for 60 minutes. We’ll start and finish at a pub, where we’ll head for a drink afterwards. Suitable for all abilities.
Saturday Social 8am
Aimed at the slower Group 2 runners. Afterwards we head for coffee or breakfast at a local café.
Groups
We have divided club runs into 5 different groups to reflect the differences in speed and distance that suits you. In increasing distance, speed and hilliness:
- Our entry level group will typically cover around 4 miles / 6 km in around 70 minutes
- Around 6 miles / 10 km in 90 minutes
- Around 7 miles / 12 km in 90 minutes
- Around 7 miles / 12 km in 75 minutes
- Our fastest group will cover up to 10 miles / 16 km in up to 100 minutes. The routes will typically be hillier and gnarlier than the other groups.
All club runs are in accordance with EA guidelines. This involves recording who runs in each group (normally a photo) and taking emergency contact details for any non-members. See our policy page.
