Buxworth 5 Road Race

Thursday 2^nd May 2024

Race Start 7.30pm

This is a certified 5 mile single lap road route on country lanes Cert. Ref:- 16/215 . The route has a few testing climbs (880ft/268m), with the last mile being flat, therefore this is not a PB course. The route is suitable for most people, but unfortunately NOT wheelchairs.

For 2023 we donated profits to the Charity C-R-Y This is a charity aiming at preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families

Race Info:

The wearing of Earphones is not permitted at this race for your own safety as part of the race will not be closed to traffic, however the use of bone conduction earphones is permitted.

Venue for 2024

This year we will be using the Paper Mill Inn at Whitehough as Race HQ. Course record prizes are available to the first male and female. £50 cash prize available to each. All numbers will be issued on the night from 6.15pm
As part of the clubs commitment to helping to reduce climate change we will offer a £2 FREE BEER VOUCHER for individuals who travel to the race using public transport, or who walk, cycle or run to the start. We will reward car shares where there are 4 or more people in the car with a £10 voucher for the cars occupants to spend in the pub that evening.
